Virtual Summer Training Program  (June/July/August 2020) (Old site; new site is at https://scinet.courses)

In lieu of its annual Ontario Summer School, the SciNet HPC Consortium, in collaboration with the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH), is offering weekly virtual summer training on High Performance Computing from June through to August 2020.

The program consists of the following 11 courses, each with 3 series within one week, in the period from June to August 2020.

Aug. 25-27 Debugging and Performance Erik Spence

For each course, the schedule is as follows:

  1. Tuesday 12:30 PM - 2:00 PM EST
    Lecture with announcement of assignment and access to cluster on Zoom
  2. Wednesday 12:30 PM - 2:00 PM EST
    On-line office hours on Zoom
    Wednesday 11:55 PM EST: Online assignment submission dropbox closes.
  3. Thursday 12:30 PM - 2:00 PM EST
    Live wrap-up lecture session with best assignment and answer on Zoom.

The program is free of charge.

You can register for each course separately. Make sure you are logged in, then go to the site of each course by clicking on the title above, and then click on "Register Me".

Zoom meeting links can be found on the specific site for each course in the program (follow the links in the schedule above). You will need to be logged in and registered to use most features of the site.

Hands-on will be done on SciNet's Teach cluster. Login information can be found on the course-specific sites.

Attendance will be taken using tests on the course-specific sites. Links to the test can also be found on the "My Courses" page.
